In my experience, forest management is a mix of luck and skill, part art and part science. We think forests are more simple than they are in reality. My bias is towards low impact forestry with limited biomass removals, but I recognize there are times when more aggressive management is needed to meet long-term objectives. Any time we manage a forest, we need to do so from a position of humility, with beginner's mind, open to seeing possibilities not covered in textbooks or yield tables. State/Province served: Ohio
